About Us
Who Are We?
Ta’ Nardi is a family-owned and family-run establishment with over 30 years of experience in catering, specialising in private parties, family celebrations, and bespoke events.
Built on a strong passion for food, tradition, and hospitality, we officially opened under the new name Ta’ Nardi in 2018 and are proudly located in Salina.
Our name reflects our roots: a father-and-son partnership, both named Leonard, which translates to Nardu in Maltese – hence Ta’ Nardi.
This reflects our dedication to family values, our guests’ happiness, and making sure every party is a success where good food, good company, and great memories come together.
Our Location & Heritage
Salina is an area rich in history, dating back centuries.
The Salina saltpans were constructed by the Knights of St John in the 16th century, at a time when salt was essential to daily life, not only for seasoning food, but for making bread dough, curing fish, preserving meat and poultry, producing cheeslets, and even fighting infections as an antiseptic in a world without refrigeration.
Salt also played a vital role in industries such as clothing and leather preparation, and its importance was so great that, the word salary comes from the Latin salarium, derived from sal, meaning “salt.”
Nearby catacombs close to the Church of the Annunciation further suggest that a sizeable and thriving community once lived in Salina.
The Salini Redoubt, originally built in 1715 by Grand Master Ramon Perellos, was later restored and enlarged with a salt store by Grand Master Francesco Ximénez between 1773 and 1775, who left his coat of arms adorning its façade which can still be seen today.
In honour of his contribution to the area, the road on which Ta’ Nardi is located is named Triq Francesco Ximenes.

How many People do we need to organize a Private Party?
To book a private party at Ta’ Nardi in Malta, where the entire venue is reserved exclusively for you and your guests, a minimum of 20 people is required.
If your group does not meet the minimum of 20 people for a full private party, Ta’ Nardi can still cater to your group. (See Next Question)
In terms of capacity, we have successfully hosted private parties of up to 50+ guests, providing ample space for dining, drinks, and celebration.
Can we organize a small Private Party?
Yes! If your group does not meet the minimum of 20 people for a full private party, Ta’ Nardi can still cater to your group.
The only difference is that the venue will not be exclusively reserved for your group in this scenario. This means that other small groups or individuals may also book at the same time. At most, there will be your group plus one additional small group sharing the space, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Do you cater for children parties?
While Ta’ Nardi welcomes a wide range of guests, our venue is designed primarily for groups aged 16 and over, to ensure the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of all guests.
Exceptions have been made and are always considered – please contact our team to discuss your specific event requirements.
How will the food be served?
Ta’ Nardi provides buffet-style catering in Malta using chafing dishes and food warmers to keep all dishes at the ideal serving temperature.
Guests are free to help themselves throughout the event.
We also supply disposable plates, napkins, and cutlery, ensuring a convenient and hygienic event catering experience in Malta.
Can we order just desserts?
Yes, The Ta’ Nardi Desserts Menu in Malta can be enjoyed on its own or combined with Menu A, Menu B, or the Pasta Menu to create a complete event catering package.
For guests looking to pair desserts with drinks, we also offer an Open Bar with Sweets, combining our open bar with a delicious selection of desserts for the perfect event experience.
How long is the Open Bar?
Ta’ Nardi provides one of the largest open bar selections in Malta, with a standard 4-hour open bar package included in every booking. Our open bar in Malta features a wide range of premium spirits, wines, beers, and mixers to ensure every guest enjoys a high-quality, unlimited bar experience.
